TODAY AND ALWAYS, WITH TRANS PEOPLE!

31 March 2026 gensenses tradiciones

TODAY is a declaration of intent. A declaration of existence. Days like today are moments to say out loud something that, for far too long, many tried to keep silent. Visibility is one of those profoundly human acts that change lives, because when a person can be seen as they truly are, with dignity and without fear, something is transformed forever.

That is why every March 31 the world commemorates International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day that reminds us of the importance of seeing, recognizing and celebrating the diversity of trans identities.

For far too long, many trans people have lived in the shadows. Not because they wanted to, but because society was not ready to look at them with respect. Invisibility has been a form of silent violence: denying role models, denying stories, denying the possibility of existing fully. That is why visibility matters so much. Because when a trans person can show themselves as they truly are, when they can live with their name, their identity and their truth, it is not only their life that changes; the world around them changes too.

The history of the LGTBIQ+ movement cannot be told without trans people. From pivotal moments such as the Stonewall Riots, driven by the courage of figures like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, to the ongoing struggles for real equality, the trans community has always been on the front lines. When many were still afraid, they were already defending freedom. When progress seemed impossible, they were the ones pushing history forward.

And they have done so while facing a reality that is still harsh today: workplace discrimination, social exclusion, and prejudices that weigh far too heavily. And yet, trans people continue to be an active part of our society in every sphere of life. They are professionals, creators, workers, neighbors, friends and leaders. They are people who build community every single day through their talent, their effort and their courage.

Despite the voices that try to erase or question their existence, reality is far stronger: trans people are here. They have always been here, and they will continue to be. Their presence makes our societies more honest, more diverse and more human.

At MarSenses, we deeply believe in this truth. Our project was born from the conviction that diversity is not a problem to manage, but a richness to care for. We believe in spaces where every person can be who they are without fear, without hiding, without asking permission to exist.

That is why our commitment to the trans community is not symbolic; it is real. We build it through partnerships, actions and a way of understanding the world. Collaborating with organizations such as FELGTBI+ and supporting initiatives like “Yes We Trans” means standing for opportunity, visibility and social justice. It means understanding that talent has no gender, and that equality is only real when it reaches everyone.

We also believe in the power of awareness and education. Because prejudice is often born from ignorance, and knowledge opens doors that once seemed closed. When companies, institutions and communities truly commit to diversity, change stops being a promise and becomes reality.

This March 31 we are not only celebrating visibility. We are celebrating the courage of those who had to open paths in the middle of misunderstanding. We celebrate those who, simply by existing, have taught the world that identity is not negotiable and that dignity should never be hidden.

We celebrate the trans people who were there when nobody was looking, those who are building the future today, and those who will come after.

Because visibility is not only about being seen.
It is about being recognized.
It is about being respected.

It is about being free.

And when a society learns to look with respect at ALL the people who are part of it, it is not only the trans community that wins. The whole world wins.

Without trans people, the LGTBIQ+ community is nothing. Society as a whole would be nothing.

THANK YOU for everything you have given.
We promise we will never let go of your hand.

We love you! We owe you!
