On November 7th, all of us who work at MarSenses had the pleasure of celebrating the end of the season for our hotels, restaurants, and workplaces, which will now enjoy a few months of rest to prepare for the upcoming season.

An event where more than 300 people were able to enjoy a moment of connection and reunion, not only with their colleagues but also with team members from other establishments within the chain.

A celebration of the unity that comes with being part of this family, where the wellbeing of its staff is one of the fundamental pillars that supports MarSenses’ success. This wellbeing has been achieved in these first five years of the company’s life, thanks to a firm and consolidated commitment to people.

Not only in offering unique experiences to our guests and restaurant diners, but also in caring for the rights of our staff. That’s why, during our annual gathering, we also looked back on all the milestones that have been achieved throughout this first five-year period.

We also recalled that in 2024, MarSenses became the first national hotel chain to reduce the workweek to 38.5 hours for the entire workforce, and this year the 37.5-hour week was implemented, improving work–life balance and the quality of life of its professionals.

Another milestone celebrated—and which has made national headlines in recent days—is the reduction of the workweek to 32 hours for senior housekeeping staff over the age of 58.

Regarding achievements that make a difference, it was also important to mention that in 2024 the company earned the Great Place to Work recognition, as well as the Best WorkPlaces Spain and Best WorkPlaces Europe certifications, entering the ranking of the best companies in the sector to work for. A true honor and joy!

In addition to celebrating these important recognitions, which validate the company’s commitment to people and their wellbeing, special acknowledgment was given to those who, after many years with the company, now begin a well-deserved retirement.

This annual gathering allows each and every person who is part of this family (because that is truly how MarSenses feels and lives) to meet their counterparts from other workplaces.

It was also an opportunity for our president, our general manager, and our operations director to express their gratitude in speeches filled with sincerity and emotion, sharing anecdotes from the season that concluded at the end of October.

Always emphasizing the importance of people in the company’s growth. Without you, none of this would be possible.
