Yesterday marked the start of the first day at FITUR, with an intense agenda for the MarSenses Corporate team, sharing vision, knowledge and key conversations about the present and the future of the tourism sector with fellow industry professionals.
One of the highlights of the day was the participation of our Marketing Director, Antonio Balaguer Montaner, in the roundtable discussion “Autonomy and Knowledge as Levers for Tourism Sustainability”, sponsored by Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero and Maarlab – Rethinking Tourism.
During his talk, Toni emphasized the importance of cross-functional communication between marketing, sales, and revenue teams, especially in an environment that is increasingly technology-driven and data-oriented.
He also shared one of the company’s major current challenges: the universal accessibility project for our website—a topic that is still undervalued within the sector, yet essential. This ongoing learning process drives us to ensure that our website is easy, intuitive, and fully usable for everyone, regardless of their abilities, and aligned with our values of inclusion and responsibility.
On the same day, MarSenses was honored at the 1st edition of the “Values in the Tourism Sector” Awards by Banco Sabadell, in recognition of our commitment to social and labor inclusion and reduced working hours, reaffirming our people-first approach.
We closed the day with news we had previewed a few days ago: our Managing Director, Rodrigo Fitaroni de Almeida, has been included this year in the list of the 150 Most Influential Tourism Professionals, awarded by Sergestur (Servicios de Gestión Turística). A distinction that allows him to share this space with many industry colleagues whom we deeply admire and hold in high regard.
We continue to move forward, learning and building, with our sights set on a more sustainable, accessible and connected tourism industry.
