Talent doesn’t recognize labels, and true diversity is demonstrated by creating opportunities where none existed before. On the occasion of International Transgender Visibility Day, we want to highlight the importance of recognizing and supporting transgender people in all areas, especially in the workplace.
At MarSenses, we have been part of the Yes We Trans program for the past two years. This initiative, led by FELGTBI+ – the State Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Trans, Bisexuals, Intersex, and more – aims to promote the socio-labor inclusion of transgender individuals. Our participation reflects an active commitment: we don’t just talk about equality; we practice it daily by fostering the presence of diverse talent within our team.
Being the only hotel chain affiliated with FELGTBI+ makes us a sector benchmark and allows us to show that inclusion is not an add-on, but a fundamental principle. Through this collaboration, we have been able to provide employment and training opportunities for transgender people, ensuring a safe, respectful environment where everyone can fully develop their professional potential without barriers.
This year, the Yes We Trans campaign emphasizes the importance of creating real pathways to employment and building workplaces free of prejudice and discrimination. At MarSenses, we share this vision: we believe diversity is a source of innovation and that inclusive teams generate richer experiences for both staff and guests.
Trans visibility requires concrete action. For us, this translates into inclusive policies, continuous staff training, and the creation of a work environment where all identities are recognized and valued. Every opportunity we provide helps break down stigmas and strengthens a corporate culture based on respect, equity, and fairness.
Promoting transgender talent doesn’t only benefit those receiving opportunities: it enriches the entire organization. It allows us to learn from different perspectives, improve our service, and create a more conscious and supportive community. At MarSenses, we understand that diversity is not a goal to achieve but a constant practice reflected in every decision and every action.
Effective inclusion requires sustained commitment. It is not just about celebrating a designated day but integrating diversity into the very structure of the organization. That is why we work to ensure that our workplaces are examples of respect, where everyone feels safe, valued, and has real opportunities to grow professionally.
Today, we reaffirm our commitment to transgender visibility and talent, convinced that opening doors equals opening life opportunities and building a fairer society. Collaborating with FELGTBI+ and participating in initiatives like Yes We Trans allows us to keep moving forward on this path, showing that inclusion begins when we act responsibly and consistently.
At MarSenses, diversity is not a slogan: it is a practice, a commitment, and a value that defines who we are. And every day it reminds us that real change begins when we believe in the talent of all people, without exceptions.
